15+ years’ experience; Certified by the American Translators Association and the Colorado Judicial Branch
I have been a full-time freelance French to English translator since 2002, specializing in international development, corporate communications, and non-fiction books. After catching “the French bug” in middle school, I earned my undergraduate degree in French–including a year at the University of Grenoble, France–and then went on to a Master’s degree in French Literature from Boston College. In 2019, I became certified by the Colorado Judicial Branch for French court interpreting, and I am currently the only French language professional in Colorado who is certified for French to English translation and French court interpreting.
After launching my translation business in 2002, I became ATA-certified in 2003. My clients include international development agencies, law firms, private foundations, private-sector corporations, publishing houses, and individuals. Ongoing professional development and professional service are very important to me, and I served as the President of the American Translators Association from 2017-2019.
